24th Annual Butterfly Festival

Thank you to the over 5000 visitors who joined us for our 23rd annual Butterfly Festival! Opening ceremonies gave us all time to pause and remember those we have lost. Although, we began under cloudy skies, as we finished releasing our memorial butterflies, the sun began to peek out and soon we were all under a beautiful Hill Country sky!Of course, the stars of the festival were the thousands of butterflies released by enchanted adults and children alike while wonderful entertainment played around them. Other fun activities abounded including pickleball, hula hooping, arts & crafts, mini frisbee golf, chalk art, train rides and an acting tent! Special guests greeted everyone including Cinderella, festive llamas, mini donkeys and lots of amphibians and reptiles in the nature show!The art show featured wonderful butterfly and caterpillar art from around Texas and many of the artists joined us to accept their ribbons and our thank you for participating. The award ceremony included an appearance by our 2022 winner, Esha Shetty, and our 2023 winner, Bree Browning, whose butterfly will be featured on the 2024 festival t-shirt and artwork.Guests also enjoyed lots of yummy concession options, including hot dogs, frito pies, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and watermelon.
