Roughhouse Brewing
This natural limestone cave was discovered during the brewery’s development in 2018. A geologic assessment of the property revealed that what was thought to be a small sinkhole was a cave full of decades of trash and debris! The Pasternak Ranch is located along the Balcones Fault Line (the same as San Marcos’ Wonder World Cave), so karst features such as this are a relatively common occurrence; however, it was a total surprise to the Roughhouse team! Excavation is ongoing and the cave is not currently open to the public at this time. Watch our social media for our next cave beer release (usually one per year)!
