WAG Rescue
WAG RescuePO Box 2603
Wimberley, Texas 78676
WAG Rescue incorporated June 25, 2009, and officially became a non-profit 501 (c) (3) public charity in October 2009 (EIN #27-0425562). Patricia Davis and Debbie Nordyke, Co-Founders of the organization, saw the need for a dog rescue organization based on the large number of found, unclaimed dogs and puppies in the Wimberley area that were often picked up by Hays County Animal Control and taken to the San Marcos Shelter. Sadly, others were left to fend for themselves in our rural area. Also, at the time, there were no resources for owner surrenders or for lost and found animals in the area.
WAG Rescue takes in any dog or puppy in need, regardless of their age or condition, and provides them with the vet care, socialization and training they need to get adopted. WAG Rescue promotes the compassionate treatment of all animals and educates the public about responsible pet ownership and advocates spay/neutering of pets to prevent overpopulation and much animal suffering. WAG Rescue also serves as a resource for all lost and found animals in western Hays County.
