Closeness: Photography Exhibit

ARTSPACE presents Closeness, a photography exhibit showcasing portraits by artists within a 25-mile radius of Wimberley including George Krause, Dennis Darling, Eric Morales, April Rapier, Winifred Simon, Rodney Bursiel, Robb Kendrick, Diana Scheunemann, Martha Gibson, and Jim McJunkin.
Why portraits? What does it mean to stand close, face to face, with another human? A conversation begins, a search for commonalities or interesting stories. In this time of dividing and focusing on differences, this exhibit reminds us to focus on people. These visages provoke a curiosity in the human condition. We see the stunning beauty in other’s faces, and if we’re lucky we discover things that bring us closer together.
Join us for an opening reception for Closeness on September 19 from 6-8pm at ARTSPACE. Closeness is on view September 19 - November 2.
