The Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WimberleyArts.org) presents Rising Stars of Wimberley, a youth-centric music festival celebrating the next generation of local musicians. This FREE community event will take place at the Emily Ann Theatre on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 1:00–6:00 p.m. The one-day festival will showcase talented young performers from across the Wimberley Valley offering them an inspiring platform to perform, connect, and build community through the arts and benefitting the Robert Moreman Memorial Scholarship.
Performing artists include:
Wimberley High School Jazz Band (Director: Adam Apolinar) – Comprised of students from various grades the band plays music from 1920's swing to modern jazz.
Dearly Departed — A locally based group of WHS and KAPS students who blend multiple genres to create fun original music.
Sam Downing and the Bandits — Perform original Americana inspired by Central Texas honky-tonks and storytelling traditions.
Hemlock (formerly The Snow Brothers) — Beck, Barrett, and Ezra perform original Americana music.
Wimberley High School Choir (Director: Sharon Bourbonnais) — A varsity a cappella octet performing contemporary pop and choral music.
Imogene and Waylan Grueneberg — Performing a mix of classical arrangements and original songs.
Soma Jerome — A psychedelic indie-rock band formed by cousins Elliot Richards and Loki Hunter, and includes Carson Weems, Sammy Shelor, and Miles Love.
With performances alternating between two outdoor stages at the Emily Ann Gardens in Wimberley the music will non-stop!
