Parking is available in public lots throughout downtown. During events, additional parking and shuttle services may be provided.
Approximately 350 free, public parking spaces are maintained by the City of Wimberley at Oak Park, Wimberley Community Center, and Visit Wimberley. Additionally, there are several free, private lots adjacent to businesses. 2026 has seen an addition of paid private parking close to the downtown square and serve as overflow on high volume weekends.
We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes and dressing for the season. Many areas in town have gravel paths or uneven terrain, so good footwear is key! If you plan to explore outdoor attractions, be sure to dress for the weather and bring sun protection.
Wimberley does not have a public transit system, but most attractions are easily accessible by car. We recommend renting a car or using local shuttle services for group travel.
Rideshare services like Uber/ Lyft generally do not operate in Wimberley. Drivers will service a ride from the airport but do not often travel to Wimberley for pick-ups.
